More about this talk:
Rising from the ashes from the attack on September 11, 2001, downtown New York has become a welcoming designation for thousands of new residents. This transformation from commercial center, to multi-use residential and commercial complex has been an 18+ year design and financial challenge; however, the results are impressive. You’ll be able to see the designs, how they evolved and what is currently at the site. Learn about the design competition to rebuild the World Trade Center site and the transformation of Lower Manhattan. Understand the complexity of the Fulton Transportation Center and its challenging design. Explore the new Oculus Transportation Hub and learn why it was so far over budget and late. Hear the story about the design of the 9/11 Memorial and how it changed from inception to execution. See the design elements that will be incorporated into the new Ronald Perlman Performing Arts Center...MORE
